The ingredients needed to cook Kesar Peda:

  1. Use 1 litre of milk.
  2. Use 1/2 cup of sugar.
  3. Prepare 1/2 tsp of saffron.
  4. Get 1 pinch of cardamom powder.
  5. Use 1 tsp of ghee.

Instructions to make Kesar Peda:

  1. Boil milk and stir it continuously on medium to high flame till it reduced to 1/4 of it's quantity. Soak saffron strands in 2 tbsp of hot milk..
  2. Now add cardamom powder and saffron infused milk to it. Stir well and cook till it starts to hold shape..
  3. At this stage, add sugar (use powdered sugar) to it and mix well. Let it cook for another 5-7 minutes and then turn off the flame..
  4. Let the mixture cool down a bit and then add some ghee and start making pedas. Garnish pedas with saffron or chopped nuts. Enjoy.
